My name is Charmayne Smith‑Mosley, and this foundation was created from the deepest part of my heart — the part that still holds my daughter Briana. Loving her shaped me. Losing her changed me. Carrying her legacy forward is what keeps me grounded, focused, and faithful.
I am a mother, grandmother, nurse, case manager, and a woman who believes in God and his purpose. Every role I’ve held has taught me how to care, how to advocate, and how to stand with families during their hardest seasons. But nothing taught me more than being Briana’s mother. She showed me courage. She showed me grace. She showed me how to keep going even when the road is heavy.

Why I Created Souls of Butterflies
There came a moment when I knew Briana’s story could not end with her passing. Her spirit was too bright, her dreams too meaningful, her impact too deep. I felt called to create something that reflected who she was — gentle, hopeful, determined, and full of quiet strength.
Souls of Butterflies represents transformation. It represents the way love continues even after life changes. It represents the belief that our children never truly leave us; they simply take on a new form, guiding us in ways we can feel but not always see.
This foundation is my promise to Briana:
